FIRE 9000 LASER PHOTOPLOTTERS: SIMPLY THE BEST
Products | Printed Circuit Board Photoplotters
Since the first Fire 9000 laser photoplotter was sold in 1985,
Cymbolic Sciences has installed more than 400 photoplotters worldwide.
We have established a reputation for manufacturing the world's most
advanced imaging systems for the PCB, LCD, LEF and Chemical
Milling industries. Offering high resolution, repeatable accuracy,
large format, and fast throughput, a Fire 9000 photoplotter is guaranteed
to increase your productivity and profits.

Printed Circuit Board Photoplotters
The Fire 9000 Series of photoplotters can maintain resolutions up to 1/16-mil and across image sizes up to 34.5x30.5" with accuracy up to 0.25-mil one sigma radial measurement.
Generating either positive or negative or merged composite film, Fire photoplotters create exceptional quality electronic artwork up to 25 times faster than other systems.
PATENTED ENGINEERING IS THE KEY TO QUALITY
Our patented internal drum architecture is unique. Instead of wrapping the film around a large spinning drum, the film is held stationary by vacuum on a curved bed while the spinner optics travel the length of the platen. The simplicity of the Fire 9000's patented design delivers not only the highest quality, accuracy, and throughput, but also maximum reliability.
LASER BEAM PHOTOPLOTTING
The optional AFL is designed to attach to Fire 9000 Series laser photoplotters. It eliminates problems arising from film handling during manual loading and unloading. The load and unload cassettes can handle 50 sheets of full-size film (7-mil) without operator intervention.
With the AFL, plus optional conveyor system, full automation is achieved. Film is automatically loaded, imaged, unloaded and then transported into a developing unit, eliminating errors created by handling. Full unattended operation of the plotter is realized when an I-Mark CAM workstation is used to auto-queue files directly.
Taking advantage of Cymbolic Sciences' nearly universal AUTOPLOT format, plotters can be directly connected to a variety of CAD, CAM, and mass-storage systems. Data can also be input to the Raster Image Processing (RIP) unit via an industry-standard Ethernet LAN or directly from a variety of media.
At the heart of Fire 9000 photoplotters is the Raster Image Processor (RIP), based on the latest range of Sun Sparc systems. An ultra-fast custom hardware processor, RIP V converts vector data to raster data in real time. This means throughput is limited only by plotting time - not rasterizing time - which lets operators automatically input a second job while the first is being plotted.
The Fire 9000 operator does not have to touch the platen so contamination is kept to an absolute minimum. To load film, all the operator has to do is place the film along the guides on the film tray. Plotting begins with a press of the 'LOAD' button. Clean and simple!
